E Health Records - What's New

Blacktown Family Medical Centre and Western Sydney Medicare Local invited patients to a Diabetes Education evening on Tuesday 20th November.

The eHealth team from Wentwest attended the Diabetes education evening and assisted with an eHealth information session for patients.

Hosted by the Practice Principal Dr Altan Capa, the evening was arranged by Kthryn Bondoc, Practice Support Manager & the Practice Support team from WentWest.

Attendees were treated to a talk on how to manage diabetes from Dr Capa, the importance of eating the right diet was discussed by Dietician Timmy Chu and Steve Aktipis the Podiatrist spoke on how vital the right foot care is for diabetics.

Jenny McCulla, PR/Marketing Campaign Co-ordinator spoke on why diabetics would benefit from having an eHealth record, with technical support from Jodi Gibson, PCEHR Project Officer, eHealth Records. eHealth Practice ‘assisted’ registration team members Shamim Kargarian and Kaan Tokbay assisted patients to register on the evening.
